Sorry I had too many issues to put in the title.
The crash: I turned on Popup for Active Monitoring and then went to reset the host file, within Hostblock (not via an outside editor). I got the popup which was odd since it said that it was from outside hostblock, which it was not, and then the app crashed.
This is not exactly a bug but I wanted to report how confusing this is.
When I go to add custom lists, I went back and unchecked the other lists. Options won't let me close without selecting a predefined block list. Even worse, upon inspection, whatever you check on the predefined lists is not added to the hosts file. So if you have one small custom file and check many of the predefined hosts, you don't get that protection.
In addition the program can be weirdly unresponsive to clicks. It's not my computer as I have a decent machine and don't have this problem with other apps. I can't always reproduce it but sometimes when I am clicking on buttons on the main screen or tabs in options I often have to click twice. In addition when adding a large hosts file the program doesn't exactly handle it gracefully and locks up.
As for the crash I will look into this and fix this in my next version I'm working on now.
As for using only custom lists I will change the way Hosts Block this so you can uncheck all the lists.
As for a large lists and Hosts Block being unresponsive this can be due to the fact when the program is changing from 127.0.0.1 to 0.0.0.0 and visa Versa. I will look into a way to make this known that Hosts Block is doing something rather than wondering.
